About Jennifer
Hello! I’m Jennifer J. Wilks, the interior curator and educator behind Artevo Home. I live in California with my family, where I’m constantly experimenting with how to make a space feel both luxurious and truly lived-in.
Since launching Artevo Home in 2017, my mission has been singular: to help homeowners move past decorating trends and build a space with lasting intention. My work focuses on translating sophisticated design principles into practical, attainable steps, allowing you to confidently evolve your home’s aesthetic over time.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing Artevo Home featured in major publications like Architectural Digest’s digital vertical, House Beautiful, and regional California design magazines, a testament to our philosophy of design that endures.
My Expertise
My perspective on design is heavily shaped by the West Coast ethos—prioritizing natural light, organic materials, and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Growing up around [suggest a relevant detail, e.g., the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright or the mission revival style], I developed a keen eye for how context and environment influence a home’s soul.
As a certified professional and lifelong student of design history, I am fiercely dedicated to providing guidance that is both beautiful and structurally sound. Every tutorial and product review on Artevo Home is researched and tested by my team and me in real-world settings. This dedication ensures that the advice you receive is an investment, not just a fleeting project.
My Journey
After graduating from ArtCenter College of Design with a degree in Interior Architecture, I spent several years working in residential design, specializing in sustainable materials. This professional experience solidified my belief that great design must be accessible and evolutionary.
In 2017, I founded Artevo Home to fill a gap in the market: a place where design authority met homeowner practicality. I left my full-time practice to build this platform, focusing on creating thousands of tutorials and guides that empower people to be their own best designers.
My goal is to cultivate a community built on quality, not quantity. Whether you are selecting a single piece of statement art or planning a full floor layout, I want you to approach the process with confidence, knowledge, and joy.
